He just asked me to help find cooking related quotes for the book. Here is his request: It's time to pepper the book with carefully-selected, food-and-cooking-related quotations from literary/philosophical/political/historical works, ancient and modern, well-known and obscure, to convey a sense of DS's delightful eclectic bookishness. I already have a few gems. Writings about the enjoyment of food are easily found, but pithy, poetic, thought-provoking bits about COOKING are rare but especially appropriate here.
